  • Seed Saving Screens

NOTE: These are on preorder and should be ready by end of September/Early October.

Passionate about saving your own seeds?

Our Seed Saving Screens are more than just a tool - they are a quiet rebellion. A way to step out of the cycle of buying and into the rhythm of growing, harvesting and saving your own seed.

These screens are the perfect tool to make the seed saving process more efficient. They are designed to clean and sift your seeds with ease—just rub the seeds that you have cut off from their dry stalks on the mesh and watch as the seeds fall through while the chaff stays behind.

Handcrafted in our workshop, New Zealand.

    FAQ

Q: Can I use the screens for wet seeds such as tomatoes and cucumbers?
A: These screens are best for dry processing. For wet seeds, we recommend fermenting and rinsing separately then drying thoroughly before storing.

Q: Can I use the screens for anything else?
A: Absolutely! Many people use them for drying herbs, winnowing chaff from grains, sieving compost or even crafting projects. They are a handy tool to have.

Seed sieves attractive and beautifully made

We love love love our seed sieves at Bay View Botanicals. We use them every year to clean native seeds for our nursery and native seed business. They are well made and attractive too, and we store them on the wall as art!

An invaluable tool made to last

I bought my set of seed saving screens in about 2018 and I have never regretted it. They make seed saving a breeze, and they're also pretty good for drying herbs when you start running out of space! Built to last, and easy to use. Highly recommended.
